Leaving on a Jetplane

What Up Everyone? So today is my last Saturday in Denver for a while. It's gorgeous here, 45 and sunny. Went for a walk this morning and just sat staring at the Rockies for about 20 minutes. Can't wait to come back here in a few months. : -)

Leaving for Wisconsin on Monday. Flying in to Milawaukee - or as the indians say it Mill-e-wauk-ey ' -) Margaux a friend and other Field Manager from France is coming with me and we are going to paint the town red...um...well maybe there is no town, but we will have a great time. There is SO much to do and our intern is going to be coming to meet us in 2 weeks. we found out the intern that is going to be working with us is this really cool dude Lachu (sp?) from Nepal. He's awesome and already has experience doing what we do, so that's a huge plus.

As far as future travels go for the job I won't know till I am in Chicago (March 3rd) what my next city will be. But I'll be in Chicago for a week to relax and wrap up my town in Wisconsin and then will porbably be off to Texas.

Anywho - today I am going to run a few errands around town, and probably go into Denver to catch a showing of the Bucket List. Hope all is well with everyone, please enjoy the pictures and leave comments.

Sorry I haven't been writing a lot - but I will try and keep this updated the best I can. Thanks for reading. : -)

Peace

First Weekend in Denver

Hey Everyone!

So, I finally made it to Boulder! The town was awesome! Like a less skanky version of Berkley. I think I might have to move out here after my time with Up With People is done. :-) Going to bed now, but I thought I would add some more pics and just say "hi". Also went to the Celestial Seasonings factory and took a tour...so cool!

Thanks for stopping by : -)

Cast Comes in tomorrow!

Hey Everyone!

Thank you for the comments!!! Which, by the way, I only figured out today how to read...sorry! This blog thing is all new to me. But Yuppie, I do like your name! : -) On that note, I told two people today that some people in CT called me hippie, and they where both like "You?!?...You are NOT a hippie!" LOL - thought you would enjoy that. I kind of felt that my identity was stolen...I'm the yuppie now...ah how the tables have turned. CT you have tought me well!

So, anyways. I suppose a little update is in order. As you can see I've added some pictures and will continue to add more. Today I learned about promotions and how to get your story covered on a television station. ESPN, here I come! Also, I learned more about the program...like a lot of the ciites that the cast will be visiting. unfortunatly - I will only be going to about 3 of 4 of them, but at least the cities I am in I will get to know real well.

Tomorrow the whole cast (100 students from 30 different countries) are coming into town and we are meeting and playing icebreakers/getting-to-know you sing-a-long things with them all. Should be interesting. My host family is taking in a girl from Belgium who is staying in the same room with me...so I will have areal international roomie. Don't worry Shea, I will hide a dragon under her bed as initiation into the club.

So- I am tired and again will be up before the sun rises so I am going to peace out. But keep commenting, since I now know how to check them and I miss you all.

Warren, keep the faith in our man...the cream always rises to the top!

Love you all!

First day in Denver

Hey Everyone!

Thanks for stopping by! Today was my first day in Denver, CO. I flew in Sunday night and met my host family - who are SO nice. They had curry chicken and a cranberry and walnut salad waiting for me - so felt RIGHT at home. : -)

This morning I saw the Rockie mountains for the first time and they where AMAZING! Don't worry, pictures will be coming soon! The sun was rising and the Rockies where glowing with this amazing golden color off the snow caps - RIDICULOUS! I'm staying in Louisville, CO - which for all you New Englanders is ACTUALLY pronounced with ALL the consonants, surprising - I know. : -) It's between Boulder and Denver - perfect location for me!

Also, today was my first day of orientation - I almost died laughing when our first activity was literally standing in a circle holding hands. Too funny! I learned a lot about what to expect in the upcoming weeks of orientation, but NOT what cities I will be going to yet. I will keep everyone updated on that as well, as soon as I know.

OK - Time to watch the LSU game, my host family are both originally from New Orleans (just to make Mary happy! : -) so I suppose that's who I'll root for today. Good thing I got that sports education in CT!

I miss everyone and hope to see you all soon!
